Glee Star Cory Monteith may look quite innocent but the 29 year old has confessed to Parade that that is not exactly true. He says, "I'm lucky to be alive.... I burned a lot of bridges. I had a serious problem." He revealed that he started skipping school at only 13 to drink and do drugs. Cory dropped out when he was just 16 years old and entered rehab at 19. He explains that when he got out of rehab he was back into the same habits as before. In fact, he was caught stealing a significant amount of money from a family member and was told to smarten up or go to jail. Thankfully, Cory has turned his act around and is doing amazingly on the tv show Glee. His advice for teens:
“For those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”
